John Sutcliffe talks about Jamf Pro's API at the 2013 JAMF Nation User Conference

The New and Improved Casper Suite 9 API

Energy was at a high as a third of the JNUC attendees filed into the McGuire Proscenium Stage for the first round of sessions after the keynote. John Sutcliffe, VP of Software Engineering at JAMF Software, emceed the session with team members, Eric Hutter and Matt Anderson. They wasted no time in giving the crowd what they wanted—a truly deep dive into some of the more technical aspects of the Casper Suite, specifically, an overview of the REST Application Programming Interface (API), and depending how well versed you were, an introduction to the JSS Events API. Moving inventory data from one JSS to another, and triggered (real-time) activities in the Events API vs. static activities in the REST API were some of the use cases the team covered.
